THE JOB (this is what you’d do)

We are looking for a team player that is well versed web developer to help our online properties run more efficiently and create a better user and customer experience. The job involves understanding both graphic design and computer programming. Once a website is created, the developer helps with maintenance and additions to the website. They work with the program director and team to help keep the site up-to-date and prioritizing needs, among other tasks.

This is a full-time position that will require 40-45 each week, on average, and the compensation will be set depending on experience.

THE CANDIDATE (this is who you are)

To be a good fit for this job you must be a tech-savvy developer who is not afraid of of learning new tools and technologies and can handle managing multiple projects at a time. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working for a business in the online space, working as a full time freelance developer. This position requires somebody that enjoys working alone to accomplish projects and tasks, but also appreciates being part of a team that works together to achieve big goals.

Your skillset should include:

1. Proven working experience in web programming
2. Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
3. Building and optimizing sites on wordpress
4. WordPress plugins and 3rd party integrations
5. Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation process
6. Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
7. Graphic design
8. Experience with e-commerce and shopping carts is not required but certainly helps.
